  15.      DESCRIPTION
  16.           Reads a portable anymap as input.  Performs gamma
  17.           correction, and produces a portable anymap as output.
  18.  
  19.           The arguments specify what gamma value(s) to use.  A value
  20.           of 1.0 leaves the image alone, less than one darkens it, and
  21.           greater than one lightens it.
